Everything revolves around technology these days, school work is now online instead of in books and on paper. Writing assignments are typed on the computer and sent to the teacher by email or through google software. Jobs are at risk due to technology advancements, “rise of robots could lead to unemployment rates greater than 50 percent” (Aquino 2011). How much has technology already taken over?

“Almost half of those currently employed in the United States are at risk of being put out of work by automation” the most at risk are identified transportation, logistics and administrative occupations (Robots Will Steal Our Jobs 2016). We are reaching a time when machines will be able to outperform humans at almost any task, “robots are doing more and more jobs that people used to do.” Some of the jobs that are either taken already or highly at risk are "pharmacists, prison guards, boning chicken, bartending," others like "astronauts, store clerks, Lawyers/paralegals (and even) driving” (Aquino 2011, Knapton 2016). If technology is capable of doing the things humans can do but better, what will humans do and what will be left of mankind?
